When their teenage son, Leo, is kidnapped, a wealthy Upper East Side family hires Knapp, a private investigator, to work outside the law to track him down while keeping the family's secrets behind closed doors. Meanwhile, Special Agent Latimer King becomes embroiled in the case while investigating the disappearance of Leo's driver, soon discovering a personal connection that ties him to the culprit suspected of orchestrating the crime. As Knapp and King proceed with independent inquiries into Leo's disappearance, they soon find themselves entangled in a dangerous game of manipulation and deceit where everyone is a suspect and no one is safe. As family members move to take matters into their own hands and the kidnappers feel the pressure of the investigation closing in on them, anything can happen in this suspense-driven, star-packed thriller where behind every closed door lies another secret waiting to be uncovered.
