About this show

Killing Eve centers on two women: Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade security services operative whose desk-bound job doesn't fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Killing Eve topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse.

I, for one, Loved this show. The only reason I'm not buying it on here is cuz I bought all of Season One on a whim at Walmart on Black Friday (for only $10 I think) and have a program that can strip my DVDs. Best decision I made in all of my Black Fridays. It's an amazing crazy thing. I always describe it like this: It feels like someone watched Hannibal and then sort of said, you know, I think I could sort of do something like this but Faster and with Women. Find it (somewhere). Buy it.

Don't fall for it. I like Sandra Oh. I like the premise. But that is all it has going for it. This is the most nonsensical, annoyingly plotted waste of time. Nothing makes sense - the characters' motivation is either incredibly goofy or just... non-existent. I watched the whole thing (hey I bought it), hoping it would make some sort of sense or have a big pay out moment. Nope! Go watch Luther again instead. I sincerely hope I just saved you $15 and a whole lot of frustration.

There a few aspects of this show that stand apart from the others, which are basically just as amazing: 1. Sandra Oh - Eve is so well rounded and relatable. Oh's talents are utilized here to show us the adventurer inside ourselves, the reckless side we all have if given the right motivation. 2. Jodie Comer - God! Villanelle! The erratic second heart of the show, filled with ferocity and wicked charm. 3. The writing - When you first pick up the subtleties of the dialogue, the show reveals itself to be incredibly realized. 4. The cast and the characters themselves. Perfect. 5. The finale. Watch it! Spread the word. This show has definite potential to continue being intense, surprising, and full of an interesting kind of heart.
