David Carradine stars as the mysterious Caine, a Buddhist monk and hunted man who wanders the American West in the 1870s fighting intolerance and injustice with his mastery of an ancient form of high combat known as Kung Fu. A fugitive from his native home in China, the orphan of half-Chinese, half-American ancestry, was trained in mystic philosophy and martial arts. A man of peace, Caine shuns material things. Roaming the rugged frontier of the Wild West, Caine champions the downtrodden and fights for justice and equality armed with only his hands and feet. In this extended pilot movie, Caine battles for the rights of immigrant laborers building the TransContinental Railway in the post-Civil War West. Exhibiting humility and respect for the "oneness of all living things," Caine, in his quiet, unassuming way, redefines the term "hero" in Kung Fu. See the television movie that started the classic series.

Excellent show. Season 2 says 9.99 deal off 42 dollars but never loads and can't purchase. Can no longer purchase pilot- no option and no option to purchase entire show all 3 seasons with or without pilot. What a rip off. People want to buy this and see what a great show it was and you are screwing them over.

I'm happy I barely paid anything for the DVDs legitimately. To think that Google expects me to pay almost $80 for something this aged although great is preposterous. This is like the weird situation where Google offers you a price increase for HD quality for a show that wasn't even filmed in HD quality. Overpriced but terrific show. The show however is Excellent. Just stop robbing people Google.

If only Bruce Lee starred:-The show was something most weren't in that day, original, it had enough of that, Carradine managed to be in a few fight scenes, to be fair the Network is who dropped Lee at the last minute, Bob Wagoner did all he could and was in a small but important few minutes of Enter The Dragon, look hard one nearly sees him thumb his nose at the ABC executives!! Look real super close...
