Think Trailer Park Boys, but funnier and with better acting, cinematography and characters you'll actually like. Think Seinfeld but with actual funny stuff in it and less annoying actors. Unapologetic comedy with writing that is nothing short of poetic at times. Tonight I am beginning my third time through the episodes that are available and it's my new favorite thing. If any of this sounds entertaining to you, give up on reading reviews and get busy watching the first few episodes.......pitter patter.

This is a pretty funny show, it was probably inspired by Trailer Park Boys, but with more of a sit com spin. It feels a lot more produced, which in some cases is good, but in this case I think made the show feel a little too contrived when you have something like Trailer Park Boys which is meant to feel like you are watching real (verging on the edge of unrealistic) people on a documentary, which I think worked better. I also just dont connect with any of the characters in Letterkenny besides maybe Stewart, and I feel like this show wants to be character driven but to me the characters arent very memorable or interesting, and they have pretty weak motivations. (I havent seen all seasons though). I think one problem is that there is a bit of a large cast of main characters and they dont hook you into caring about them effectively.

I feel ashamed as a Canadian that it was an American that showed this to me. But Im glad he did. This is one of the funniest shows Ive seen in a while. Real shame the seasons aint longer but you gotta love Wayne and Darryl's creative insults and Katie's lack of concern for what others think.
