(Series Premiere) Out of prison after three years, 'Ace' Bernstein and his aide/chauffeur Gus Demitriou plot a purchase to reverse the sagging fortunes of a famous racetrack; meanwhile, four gamblers at the track pool their money to make a Pick Six bet.

Ace shows off his famous temper during a meeting with a possible investor; Although Marcus is weary about flaunting his newfound wealth, his three partners have no such qualms; Mr. Walter enlists Ronnie Jenkins as the mount for his prized thoroughbred.

Ace enlists a cocky young whiz kid named Nathan Israel in his plans. Walter decides to enter his colt, Gettin' up Morning, in his first race, but loses Ronnie as his rider when the jockey takes a tumble.

Jerry's pals look to pry him away from his gambling nemesis. Ace approaches his one-time partner Michael Smythe in the racetrack venture. Walter settles on Rosie as his jockey, but her euphoria is tempered by Leon's not making weight.

Ace forces Escalante to swap out Leon for a more experienced jockey. Marcus fears for his health, while Kagle returns from a bender. Ace gives Claire a lucky check, and the two head to the track with Gus to watch Pint of Plain's memorable debut.

Ace pitches his deal to buy a piece of the racetrack, while Smythe flips Israel into an informant; Joey's depression turns lethal while Leon sweats his finish, as does Rosie.

Ace and Claire tour a prison outreach horse farm; Jerry attempts to win his way into a poker tournament; Lonnie goes solo to claim another Escalante horse; Ronnie and Rosie vie for the same mount.

Ace ices out Smythe, DiRossi and Cohen as partners in the racetrack deal, but Smythe has other ideas; Walter's horse and Ace and Gus' horse head for a major-race showdown; Leon's loss ends up being Rosie's gain.

(Season One Finale) Two prized colts go head-to-head in a million-dollar showdown; Ace receives an unexpected visitor; Renzo's mom joins the Degenerates to watch their horse in his biggest race yet.
