Maggie, Hamilton and the Beast are having a bad day. Maggie’s drawing is ruined, the Beast is having difficulty with his origami, and Hamilton accidentally squashes a whole batch of muffins. They decide to send their troubles off to sea in little paper boats. After the boats are made, however, they realize they don’t really have any troubles at all! | It’s just rained and the Beast can’t resist sliding through the puddles, making him the ferociously muddy beast! Maggie decides it’s high time the Beast took a bath, so he starts sudsing up in the River of Dreams while Hamilton washes his spots out by hand. When the spots dry, however, they end up all wrinkly! The Beast can’t wear wrinkly spots! Maggie comes up with the solution - they simply press the spots flat in a great big book. | Maggie, Hamilton and the Beast come upon a gigantic carrot, and a very strange little rabbit named Nedley who speaks in rhymes. Nedley is too small to pull up the big carrot, so Maggie, Hamilton and the Beast give him a hand. When they finally haul the carrot out of the ground it doesn’t prove to be as delicious as expected, so they turn it into a great big birdhouse.
