About this show

Keith Johnson travels to the ends of the earth in search of one-of-a-kind home furnishings, accessories and decorative antiques. Johnson is the buyer at large for the lifestyle retailer Anthropologie, and he also curates the art gallery in Anthropologie's Rockefeller Center location in Manhattan. As documented in this series, his excursions take him to open-air markets, antiques stores, galleries and artisans' studios to find, for example, textiles in Thailand, modern ceramics in Sweden, ironwork in Mexico, and inlaid furniture in Syria. The series, however, keeps viewers guessing as to the price Johnson pays for his purchases. Better not to know the one-of-a-kind markups for the items once they hit Anthropologie's shelves.
