Haha I don't know what people were expecting, but this clearly blew their expectations away in a gory mess. Well, maybe not... This is essentially Twilight Zone with Heavy Metal goggles on. Those that are familiar with the magazine and/or the two animated films will get a kick out of it. They do a good job of conveying the pulpy adult atmosphere that Heavy Metal embodies without being able to actually depict graphic violence and sex. I doubt any of the people that gave one star reviews had any idea what they were getting into. Every episode is essentially a standalone pulp scifi-fantasy story, and if you're looking for a coherent show, this isn't it. If you like Heavy Metal, get in.

This is exactly what I expect from this show! I've been awaiting a television adaptation of Metal Hurlant!! The costuming, props & dialog could use some work, I've seen only 2 episodes & I'm looking forward to more. I hope they received a bigger budget for subsequent seasons!

It's like New Outer Limits with more of a common theme, the asteroidish thing, and it's cool how they keep making you guess what's real by having everything so interwoven. I wish they had made more episodes, though it is sad how they're mostly tragedies.
