The brutal murder of French citizen Pierre Carnot brings French homicide investigator Kahina Zadi to Kiruna in Sweden, a small town in the Arctic Circle at a time of the year when the sun doesn't set. Teaming up with Swedish detectives Rutger Burlin and Anders Harnesk, the team embark on an investigation that quickly takes on horrifying significance involving the Sami tribe, the local mining industry, and shadowy interests.
