Q U A L I T Y
The show really isnt my thing but i can get why many kids would like it. It really passes my expectation for a cgi show, you can tell the animators did their very best with every detaill. The plot however: nah. At first i was confused as of why there were no origins until i watched the last few episodes and thought it sorta seemed unorginized. The more i watched it the more i just became bored of it tbh, it seemed like the same old thing, fighting evil and all. Overall i guess its okay for a kid show.

First of all, Marinette is too shy. She's not afraid to fight villains who could destroy the city but she's too afraid to text her crush. Can you believe that? She's not even talking to him face to face, just texting. And her crush on Adrien can get out of hand. She put the universe at risk in the volpina episode when she nearly gave volpina her miraculous because she threatened to kill Adrien. And the worst part about that is, that wasn't even the real Adrien, it was an illusion. And if cat noir(Adrien's alter ego) hadn't destroyed the illusion, ladybug would've given up her miraculous. And after the battle, she even had the nerve to check up on Adrien at his house to see if he was okay even though cat noir already volunteered to check up on himself. And even worse, if Tikki hadn't wanted Marinette to keep the book so badly, she would've given it back to Adrien to make a connection with him for once. She literally said, and I quote, "This book could've been my connection to Adrien, without my ladybug mask for once, but I get it, i'm not gonna be returning it to him." But knowing her, she probably would've been clumsy, ruined the "connection" and given the secrets of the universe back to Adrien because of her silly crush. And this all happened in one episode. And Marinette has no personality other than being clumsy and having a crush on Adrien. And there's too much filler. I watched the popular anime sailor moon, and that show gave me a new respect for filler episodes. But this show made me lose my respect for filler episodes. Literally every episode besides 3 episodes were filler. The fights are boring. The characters NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EEEEVER, get hurt. The whole point of action scenes are for every character to experience pain but only the hero prevailing. But without actual pain, the "action" scenes are literally just the duo jumping from building to building and dodging attacks. And the hero duo isn't tough at all. They fight with yo-yos and staffs. And most superheroes can use their superpowers as they please. But their superpowers are weak, and can only be used once at a time. And after they use their powers, they are given only 5 minutes before their costumes dissappear. Adrien has no personality either. His only personality is being cliche and casually nice, and his occasional sadness for his mom's death. The only reason people like this show is because of the love square. If you look at most of these reviews, and ask people why they like this show, about 90% of them will say it's because of their ship. And it's taking to long for the release of season 2. I would understand if it's taking a long time, since cgi takes long, but the thing is, they're working on season 2 and 3 at the same time. And for some shows(not this one though) it can take as long as 2 years to make 2 seasons. I would have no problem if they released each episode after they finished making it, but unlike 99.9% of other tv shows, this show thinks it has to finish the entire season before they post each episode that they're done with. And they finished scripting season 2, which means that by now, they could be done with season 2 and halfway through season 3 but not release a single episode. And lots of things are ripped of from the anime sailor moon in this show. But there's a long list of stuff that are extremely similar, and i'm not gonna list all of them. But one example is the whole "love square" concept. In the anime sailor moon, Usagi had a crush on tuxedo mask but despised Darien, and Darien had shown affection towards Usagi, but only thought of sailor moon as a friend. And another example is the whole "the same thing happens in each episode" concept. But at least sailor moon made it interesting, but the filler villains in this show have lame powers like controlling birds and making bubbles. And lots of people watch this because they like magical girl anime, and they thought that this show would be similar, but it's way too similar and cliche.
