Mount Pleasant

It's a time of new arrivals in Mount Pleasant - not just the imminent birth of Lisa's baby but also the unexpected return of Dan's estranged brother Robbie, who soon starts charming his way back into everyone's affections... everyone's except Dan's that is, who is convinced there's more to his impromptu visit that meets the eye. Elsewhere Greg is being released from prison, Fergus is coming to terms with Denise's rapid rise through the world of professional modelling and Bianca and Roger are helping Gary to re-evaluate his future. But individual problems soon take a back-seat when Lisa goes into an early labour and a mad race to the hospital ensues before we finally get to meet the newest and youngest member of the Johnson clan.

Lisa is enjoying motherhood but missing her career - uncertain whether she can really have it all she ends up getting advice from the unlikeliest of sources. Meanwhile Dan is determined to get to the bottom of why his brother is really back, but the ever slippery Robbie is proving a tricky customer to pin down. Elsewhere a rodent infestation in the vicarage results in Roger becoming Bianca's unlikely house-guest, whilst Gary learns he's got a try-out for a professional football club. And over the road Bradley's dark past finally catches up with him and he decides to make Greg an offer he can't possibly refuse...

With Bradley away Greg has been installed at the Dawson's on the pretext of building a new kitchen, but unbeknownst to Tanya and Ella his real duties involve acting as their surrogate body-guard. Lisa's nose is put out of joint when her first day back at work finds her banging heads with the fearsome Angie - Fergus' newly appointed PA, whilst Dan has work problems of his own when he's convinced to take on his brother as an apprentice. Elsewhere Roger-the-lodger's attempts at helping Bianca on the domestic front result in him nearly destroying the house and Pauline wangles herself a free ticket to Denise's latest VIP party.

The war of attrition between Lisa and Angie comes to ahead when Lisa sets out to prove the new PA is not all she's cracked up to be, whilst Dan ends up having to endure a disastrous trip to a car-boot sale with Pauline, Robbie and Barry. Back on the close Bianca becomes an unlikely counsellor to one of Roger's troubled parishioners and Greg - convinced someone is watching the Dawson's house - is forced to come clean to Tanya and Ella about why he's really there and just how much danger they might be in.

Deciding to promote 'family harmony' Lisa throws a big dinner party for the Johnson clan... A dinner party that turns out to be anything but harmonious when the terrible truth about what Robbie has really been doing for the past eight years is finally revealed and hearts are broken in the process. Elsewhere Fergus becomes convinced it's time for him and Denise to take their relationship to the next level, whilst over at the Dawson's Tanya and Ella are still coming to terms with Bradley's lies.

Everyone is still reeling from the Robbie revelations and Lisa and Dan take it upon themselves to try and heal the rift between him and Pauline. Having been caught in the cross-fire of it all herself, Bianca seeks solace in the arms of Roger but when signals are romantically misread their solid friendship is suddenly thrown into jeopardy. Meanwhile a day out with Barry causes Denise to start re-evaluating her own future and she eventually comes to a heart-breaking and life-changing decision.

Still devastated over the truth about Robbie, Pauline has been over-compensating by throwing herself into 'Granny duties'. Questioning her technique somewhat Barry decides to escape with the baby for the day but instead ends up being lumbered with Terry and Roger, themselves on a mission to escape their respective 'woman problems' and the unlikely trio wind up gate-crashing a conservative golf-course with Pauline and Margaret in hot pursuit. Meanwhile Tanya and Greg appear to be growing increasingly closer, something that hasn't gone unnoticed by a disapproving Dan causing tempers between the two friends to flare.

It's been a series of lies, heartbreak and fall-outs between our regulars, but everyone is forced to put their problems into perspective when actual physical danger suddenly rears its head. Realising they can no longer remain on the close, Tanya and Ella throw a fare-well party that receives an unexpected guest in the form of Bradley's old 'business' partner Gus. Wielding a shot-gun and out for revenge he's soon holding all the girls of Mount Pleasant hostage and it falls to Dan, Greg and Robbie to finally put aside their differences and race to the scene in order to try and save their respective loved ones.
