About this show

"Mr Inbetween" is a half-hour drama series inspired by the cult film "The Magician." It centers around Ray Shoesmith -- a father, ex-husband, boyfriend and best friend. All tough roles to juggle in the modern age, but it's even harder when you're a criminal for hire. Shoesmith is a man who has been hardened by the prison system and his experiences there. Now, he is learning how to deal with life in the real world -- even attending anger management classes -- away from the bars of the prison where actions always have consequences.

It is exciting to see the great acting and directing from an Australian show. As far as the story goes, it began like an Olympic sprinter and ended a lot like a sleepy cow

Mr Inbetween season 1 is a captivating Australian gangster series that left me wanting more. The exceptional writing and brilliant acting make it the best in its genre. The main character's complex nature and morally ambiguous choices add depth to the storyline. The show keeps you on the edge of your seat with its gritty realism and unexpected twists. Riveting. Saw the first eps and bought the 3 seasons. I thought why isn't this masterpiece receiving a Logie, AACTA, Australian Directors Guild Awards, People's Choice Awards or indeed an AWGIE Award. Brilliant Australian drama/comedy/satire, imho. Anywho, is there a season 4?
