Naruto Shippuden Uncut

The Uchiha clan was plotting a coup d'etat. The story as told by Madara leaves Sasuke at a loss for words. Because of his gifted talent, Itachi was forced to suffer, torn between his loyalties to the Leaf Village and the Uchiha clan. Traumatized by the experience of the Great Ninja War at a young age, Itachi grew up to wish more than anything for the peace and stability of the village. But a fate too cruel awaited him. The entire mystery behind the night of the Uchiha massacre is revealed. Sasuke comes to realize for the first time his older brother Itachi's true intentions.

Flame from the Amaterasu still remains on the battlefield as Naruto and his teammates continue to search for Sasuke. But despite the search team's best efforts, they cannot find any trace of him. Judging they've done all they can, Kakashi decides to pull out and return to the village. Meanwhile, having learned the truth about his brother, Sasuke refuses to transplant Itachi's Sharingan into his own eye. Sasuke sets as his next goal the destruction of the Leaf Village, and sharing their common interest, joins forces with the Akatsuki.

The Taka split up with the Akatsuki to hunt down the remaining Tailed Beast. At the Land of Lightning they go up against Killer Bee, whose attack utilizing Lightning Style and seven blades proves to be more than a match for them. To make matters worse, Sasuke receives critical injuries from Killer Bee's special attack using the Tailed Beast's chakra. The Eight Tails reveals its true form, and in the midst of certain doom a new power emerges within Sasuke.

The Leaf ninja fail to capture Itachi and also lose track of Sasuke. Calling off their pursuit, the team is heading back to the village when an urgent assignment from Lady Tsunade comes in. The mission stems from a treaty between the Third Hokage and the En no Gyoja of the Tsuchigumo Clan. Following the last Great War, the Third Hokage promised that in exchange for forbidding the Tsuchigumo Clan's use of a powerful jutsu, the Leaf would provide aid if the clan were in danger. Led by Captain Yamato, Team 7 arrives at the fort that came under attack. There, Naruto fights a mysterious man named Utakata.

Naruto and his teammates are assigned to escort Hotaru, En no Gyoja's granddaughter, to the Tsuchigumo Clan's village located in the mountains. But Hotaru's mind is still attached to Utakata, who left after Naruto's arrival. Admiring Utakata's strength, Hotaru wished to become his student but was rejected. Meanwhile, having failed in their attempt to steal the forbidden jutsu, the Magaki Troops, bounty hunters led by Shiranami, plan their next move. But battle ensues when they suddenly come across Utakata.

Having arrived at the village, Hotaru parts with Naruto and his team. But the Magaki Troops are one step ahead and threaten Hotaru to hand over the forbidden jutsu. Utakata appears, and Shiranami recognizes him as a bounty listed in the Hidden Mist's bingo book. Meanwhile, Naruto returns to the Tsuchigumo village to check up on Hotaru to find that the villagers are not even trying to look for the missing Hotaru. Angered by their cold attitude, Naruto decides to search for Hotaru himself.

Yamato and Sai recognize their opponents as trackers from the Hidden Mist Village, but Naruto attacks without questioning. The Hidden Mist demands Utakata be handed over to them in exchange for Hotaru. Yamato refuses, believing such compliance would interfere with their own mission, as Hotaru would most likely follow Utakata. Just when battle looks imminent, Tsurugi, leader of the Mist tracking unit, breaks in. To avoid an unnecessary fight, Tsurugi strikes a deal with Utakata and Yamato.

Hotaru is brought back to the fort in Mount Katsuragi. Naruto, outraged to learn the forbidden jutsu was embedded inside Hotaru, demands an explanation from Tonbei. But it was none other than Hotaru herself who wished for this. Realizing the Tsuchigumo Clan no longer has the strength to safeguard the jutsu, Tonbei confesses that the late En no Gyoja, who wished for his granddaughter's well-being, left behind the means to extract the forbidden jutsu from Hotaru. But not wishing to destroy the forbidden jutsu, Hotaru confides to Naruto that her missing clan member Shiranami might just be able to protect the jutsu.

Believing Shiranami's story, Hotaru writes a parting letter addressed to Utakata and leaves Mount Katsuragi. Meanwhile Naruto, still searching for Shiranami, falls into the Magaki Troops' trap but manages to escape thanks to help from Utakata. The two come to the realization that Shiranami, the man Hotaru was seeking, is in fact the bandit who attacked Mount Katsuragi. Fearing for her safety, Naruto and Utakata work together to search for the disappeared Hotaru, leading them to the Tsuchigumo Clan village that is now horrendously transformed by Shiranami's jutsu.

Naruto and Utakata successfully enter the Tsuchigumo village thanks to help from Sakura, Sai, and Yamato. Utakata senses the chakra filling the atmosphere and terrain behaving oddly, and together with Naruto, they enter the cave where the anomaly is originating. Inside, Shiranami has restrained Hotaru with his wordbind jutsu and is in the process of activating the Forbidden Jutsu using outside force. Shiranami, who has betrayed Hotaru and is using her as the vessel for the Forbidden Jutsu, infuriates Naruto. Despite their efforts to stop Shiranami, Naruto and Utakata are caught by the wordbind jutsu.

Hotaru, under the control of Shiranami's jutsu, uses the Forbidden Jutsu against Naruto and Utakata. Shiranami trembles with joy, having witnessed the power of the Forbidden Jutsu, while Hotaru is consumed by deep despair. Completely shunning herself, Hotaru breaks away from Shiranami's control and lets the Forbidden Jutsu go out of control. Realizing the entire area will blow up along with Hotaru, Shiranami escapes. Entrusted with Hotaru, what course of action will Utakata take?

Returning from the mission, Naruto recollects his strange encounter with Itachi. What did the now deceased Itachi wish to tell him? As Naruto ponders this, Kakashi makes an abrupt visit. Without explanation Naruto is summoned to the Hokage residence, where he receives shocking news. Meanwhile, Sasuke hands over the captured Eight Tails to Tobi. Sasuke then intends to leave for the Hidden Leaf Village following his recovery. Seeing this, Tobi recalls the conversation he had with Sasuke.

Naruto wanders the streets of the Leaf Village, grief stricken over the death of Jiraiya. Unable to overcome his feeling of loss, Naruto traces back through his memories of Jiraiya. What can help the heartbroken Naruto get back on his feet? Meanwhile, Tsunade is also shaken by the death of her closest friend and ally. But when Fukasaku entrusts Tsunade with the information about Pain left by Jiraiya, she vows to find the clue to defeat Pain.
