Naruto Uncut

Gripped by the desire to see Nawaki and Dan, Tsunade almost succumbs to Orochimaru's tempting offer. But seeing Nawaki and Dan's dreams carried on by Naruto, she breaks off the deal. Orochimaru is determined to heal his arm and focuses on exploiting Tsunade's weakness.

Orochimaru and Kabuto use a summoning jutsu to call forth a giant snake. Still drugged and unable to fully use his chakra, Jiraiya summons little Gamakichi. Naruto also attempts a summoning jutsu, but ends up with Gamatatsu, Gamakichi's younger brother. Meanwhile, Kabuto has defeated Shizune. Naruto approaches Tsunade who is trembling in fear! Seething with anger, Naruto pulls himself up and tries to attack...

Naruto's ninja way is to never go back on his word. Naruto is seriously injured by Kabuto and hovers on the verge of death. Tsunade places her last shred of hope in Naruto who shares Nawaki and Dan's dreams. Tsunade has a fear of blood, but through her desire to protect Naruto, she is able to overcome it.

Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru all release their summoning jutsu. And a fierce battle begins. Jiraiya and Tsunade join forces against Orochimaru. Despite her injuries, Tsunade desperately challenges Orochimaru. The toad, snake and slug engage!

Tsunade, Naruto, and the others start heading back to the Leaf Village where Tsunade will formally become the Fifth Hokage. At Tsunade's urging, they stop at a town with hot springs. Waiting for them there is the Akagi gang, who lent money to Tsunade years before. They steal the necklace while Naruto and the others are bathing. Naruto chases after them, but he starts to sympathize with them when they tell him their story.

Naruto asks Tsunade to heal Sasuke and Lee before she is installed as the Hokage. After examining Lee, she tells him to find a path other than of that of a shinobi. After fighting Gaara during the Chunin Exam, Lee's body is too damaged. What will Lee do now that his dream is crushed? Meanwhile, the Leaf Village is still trying to recover from the attack of the Sound ninja.

"Lee hesitates when Tsunade asks him whether he will quit pursuing the path of a ninja or choose to undergo a risky surgery with only a fifty percent chance of success.

Meanwhile, Konohamaru is in shock from the passing of the Third Hokage. Konohamaru is unhappy with Tsunade, who has become the new Hokage. Tsunade is ready to wrestle the troublesome boy into submission, but Naruto tries to settle things.

After being advised by Tsunade to quit the path of the shinobi, Lee recalls his first meeting with his teacher Guy. Unable to master either ninjutsu or genjutsu, Lee has always been looked down upon by the others. Guy alone encouraged him, and thanks to Guy's words, Lee's dream to become a ninja became true using taijutsu alone. Meanwhile, after her painful declaration Tsunade is aware of Lee's feelings of regret. Tsunade prepares to proceed with the risky surgery.

Naruto and his two squadmates have always wanted to see what Kakashi looks like under his mask. The three do whatever they can to reveal his whole face. First, they treat him to a bowl of noodles so that they can watch him take off his mask to eat. Kakashi is a little suspicious of their odd behavior, but in the instant before he begins eating, their tactic fails!

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are sent on a B-rank mission to the neighboring Land of Tea. They are to protect the runners in a race being held during the Todoroki Shrine's ceremonial ritual held every four years. On their way to the Land of Tea, the three meet a mysterious man, Idate, who says he hates ninja. Itade throws fighting words at the three, and then runs off at unbelievable speed. When the three meet up with Jirocho, their client, they are surprised to learn the true purpose of their mission.

The chief retainers think that Idate has made a farce of their great traditional festival. Jirocho believes that Idate has fled with some plan in mind. Meanwhile, Naruto and the others have caught up with the fleeing Idate. They plead with him since it is their job to protect him against Aoi and the other Rain ninja. But Idate hates ninja and will not listen.

Naruto and his squad manage to catch up to Idate, only to find him hurt and unconscious with Aoi nearby. Fukusuke, the runner for the Wagarashi clan, is so certain he can win he takes a break!

Despite interference from Aoi, Idate continues his run. Idate still trusts no one, and it's revealed that during the Chunin Exams, Idate's older brother was the proctor who posed the tenth question. Although torn by his feelings for his comrades, Idate was determined to become a chunin and resolved to do his best. But his squad was told that they failed.

Boss Jirocho waits, confident that Idate will win. But Aoi, the ninja sent by the Wagarashi clan, stands in the way. Just before the finish line, Aoi brings Sasuke down. Sakura tries to save him and both end up falling over the cliff. Despite his injuries Naruto summons all his remaining strength to protect Idate and save Sasuke and Sakura.
