Naruto Uncut

Jiraiya, one of the legendary Three Ninja, suddenly appears before Ebisu and Naruto. Naruto gives Jiraiya the nickname, "Pervy Sage." But Naruto also asks Jiraiya to oversee his training instead of Ebisu. Jiraiya agrees, and finds the seal which contains the Nine-Tailed Fox inside Naruto.

The Sound Ninja Dosu appears before Gaara and intends on defeating Gaara. But Gaara beats him soundly. Stealthily watching them are a Jonin of the Sand Village and Kabuto! The Sand Village which has a formal alliance with Hidden Leaf Village has entered into an agreement with the Sound Village to destroy the Leaf. Hayate witnesses this secret meeting and rushes to report this to the Hokage. But he is confronted by Baki and they start to battle. Meanwhile, Jiraiya teaches Naruto the "Summoning Jutsu," but what Naruto summons is...

Naruto continues training under Jiraiya to master the "Summoning Jutsu" which enables him to call forth various living beasts. But he has a hard time controlling the Chakra of the Nine-Tailed Fox which is sealed inside him. Meanwhile, Sakura worries about Sasuke who has been hospitalized and heads for the clinic. Around that time, the Hokage has gathered the Hidden Leaf Jonin in the meeting hall and informs them that Hayate has been found dead near Kikyo Castle.

It is three weeks since Naruto began training under Jiraiya. And Naruto has been on the brink of collapse many times. But Jiraiya believes that Naruto has the makings to become a future Hokage and continues the training. Later, Jiraiya throws him off a precipice. Jiraiya hopes that from the fear of death, Naruto will awaken and draw out the "Nine-Tail Chakra" inside him.

Naruto is finally able to draw out the Nine-Tail Chakra and utilize the "Summoning Jutsu." Gamabunta appears and does not believe that Naruto summoned him. In order to make Gamabunta accept him, Naruto challenges the toad to shake him off his back and clings for dear life. Meanwhile back at the Sand Village, Baki gathers Temari, Kankuro and Gaara and tells them that they will take the next Chunin test.

On the day of the test, Gaara disappears from the inn where the Sand Ninja are staying and goes to Hidden Leaf Hospital. Gaara sneaks into Lee's room and gazes coldly down him. And Gaara's begins its assault on Lee. At that time, Shikamaru uses the Shadow Possession Jutsu to restrict Gaara's movements.

The day of the Exam finally arrives. Naruto's first opponent is Neji Hyuga. Naruto is a bit nervous since Neji is rumored to be very strong. Naruto sets out for the main arena, but it is very far and there is the danger that he may be late. Konohamaru arrives and offers to show him a shortcut, but they get stuck in some trouble!

Finally, Chunin Exam starts with the eight Ninja who qualified in the preliminaries. But Sasuke is nowhere to be found. Naruto and Sakura worry for Sasuke's safety. The first round starts with Naruto against Neji Hyuga.

Naruto is unable to use his Shadow Clone Jutsu against Neji who can see chakra points! Furthermore, Neji has his impregnable Eight Trigrams Palms Rotation defense technique. This technique creates a 360-degree barrier and when under attack, massive amounts of Chakra is released from the entire body making a physical attack impossible. Neji counters Naruto's attack and finds the 64 Chakra points in Naruto's body!

Naruto and Neji's battle continue with Neji showing enormous power. Neji is about ready to inflict the final blow upon Naruto, but despite being battered, Naruto stands and shows no signs of giving up. But Neji uses his Gentle Fist to shut down all of Naruto's chakra points, and he can no longer release any Chakra. Just then, Naruto remembers Jiraiya's words. It is about the immense power of the Nine-Tail Fox Chakra which sleeps within Naruto. And with desperation, Naruto begins his hand seals...

Defeated by Naruto, Neji is being taken to the hospital, when Neji's uncle Hiashi appears. He has come, to tell Neji the truth about the time his father Hizashi died. Neji has harbored a grudge against Hiashi for his father's death. However, Hiashi explains that he himself had intended to die, but that Hizashi had chosen his "destiny" and death. Upon hearing those words, Neji begins to ponder if a person's "destiny" is predetermined as he had believed, or if, as Naruto said, it is chosen by oneself.

Sasuke's match is postponed and suddenly, it is Shikamaru's turn. He has shown no eagerness to fight, thinking that his is merely a secondary match, and when he learns that his opponent is Temari, his fighting spirit wanes even more. During the match, he gazes at the clouds, thinking about the reason why he decided to become a Ninja. As Kurenai watches him from the stands, Asuma tells her something very unusual about him...

In the Shikamaru and Temari's match, Shikamaru who had the upper hand suddenly makes a surprising decision! Next up is Sasuke and Gaara, but Sasuke still hasn't arrived at the arena and he only has ten mintues left. Rumors abound making Naruto anxious and forcing Sakura to worry. Then suddenly the voice over the microphone announces Sasuke's arrival.
