Beth's journey to begin a life in the New World ends when her ship is wrecked on the shores of Massachusetts. Discovered by Masca, the leader of the Wawanaki tribe, Beth is taken in and recovers.

In the concluding episode, Ned returns to Hope and tells her that he wants them to be together, but they must be careful and first hide fugitive Beth away from Boston.
