The Real Black Hawk Down tells the extraordinary true-life story of the shooting down of two Black Hawk helicopters during a deadly battle in Mogadishu between U.S. forces and Somali militia. Reunited for the first time on camera, the pilot and two of the soldiers involved in the battle recount intense details of one of the most horrific scenes in U.S. military history since the Vietnam War.

It’s 1982 and the war on drugs is in its bloodiest year. Two DEA agents are sent on an aerial reconnaissance mission to Colombia, where violent cartels run the drug trade into Miami, and their mission becomes a bloodbath. Separated and severely wounded, both must fight to get out of the jungle alive.

A team of Green Berets are sent to take out a leader of the Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin, a terrorist group with links to the Taliban. The target is guarded by heavily armed fighters in the Shok Valley of Afghanistan. The Green Berets end up surrounded and engage in a huge, ferocious gun battle. Sustaining critical casualties, they must use all their training and teamwork to escape the mountain alive.

During the Gulf War in 1991, a squad of eight British commandos are dropped off 140 miles behind enemy lines in Iraq to spy on Saddam Hussein’s main supply route. The mission goes disastrously wrong. Before long, three men are killed and four are captured. After traveling over 200 miles through the desert, only one makes it out of Iraq alive — Chris Ryan, the one who got away.

Dale Zelko, an F-117 Nighthawk stealth bomber during the Kosovo War in 1999, launches from Aviano Air Base in northern Italy with the mission to take out a heavily defended Serbian military installation in central Belgrade. Zelko is forced to eject after being hit by a Serb missile, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s captured. A NATO rescue force must launch immediately to reach him first.

In June 1964, US Navy pilot Lt Charles Klusmann is shot down by enemy ground troops over Laos. Badly injured with no hope of rescue, he endured almost three months of captivity and became the first American airman taken prisoner in the Vietnam War. Evading capture for three days, Lt Klusmann traveled 25 miles in a daring escape. With resilience and bravery, Lt Klusmann became one of few people to ever escape imprisonment in Southeast Asia.
