The show itself, as all others have said, is simply fantastic. However, I purchased all fifteen episodes to watch with my father, who is hard of hearing, and the subtitles are severely delayed, upwards of 10-15 seconds and the characters speaking remain unnamed. Those that would be watching with subtitles beware as sadly it's impossible to enjoy this way. Despite this, being down 50 bones, with a disappointed pops, the show is still fantastic. Five stars easy with decent subtitling.

I watched this miniseries YEARS ago, when it first aired. I wasn't sure if I'd love it as much now as I did then but now I know. Some things never lose their appeal or level of outstanding. I'm glad I own it now.

You suck movie for once I am the hero but Get lost in an unforgettable saga of love and war with North and South: The Complete Collection. Featuring an all-star cast, the three epic award-winning miniseries from the executive producer of Roots chronicle the turbulent times surrounding the Civil War, and the friendship of two young men — one from the North; one from the South.
