Arriving home after a night out in a club Tim discovers that he has picked up the wrong coat, which has a pocket full of drugs. Further investigation reveals that the coat belongs to Larry 'the butcher' Stubbs. Now Lee and Tim must return the coat without getting killed.

When a twenty-year old girl turns up on Lee's doorstep and announces that he might be her father, Lee goes into immediate denial. Until, that is, he remembers a one-night stand he had at a party that Tim threw to celebrate the end of his accountancy exams back in the 1980's. Is Lee mature - or rich enough - to be a father?

Not Going Out, written by and starring British comedian Lee Mack, follows the jokes, jibes, and general misunderstandings of happy-go-lucky Lee (Lee Mack), his best mate Tim (fellow BAFTA Award winner and stand-up Tim Vine), and Tim's sister Lucy (Sally Bretton), the object of Lee's hapless affections and his landlady.
