Outlander is a great show and the first season I find the filming and the history that is correct although not true is very real and visually stunning to watch. It pulls you into an amazing story of love and survival in the 16th century. It goes on in the second season to take you to a different time where the main characters are pitted against foes that are very nasty. I look forward to the third season and I do hope this story of love goes on for as many seasons as it takes to tel this tail of time travel. Great and a must see for people who love old Scottish folklore about traveling through the stones.

While it's an interesting change to see a sexist story from a woman's perspective, the show is flawed by serious issues. Deliberately unanswered plot devices to create mystery while other devices are forced upon you without explanation. This dychotomy is absurd. Then there's the plot holes and bad acting in important scenes. Overplayed symbolism is used to drive overused ideas but it's been written in a way that you're always expecting more from the show. Though it never delivers.

I enjoy watching show and reading the novels. I like the fact that she uses real historical events that happened in her stories. You actually learn things from Outlander series and from the Outlander novels. People may not like the stuff about the rapes. But rapes did happen then and still now. The only difference there not sugar coating it. They are giving you more realistic look. But keep in mind it is a show. The actors are not being rapes in real life. This show is not for children.
