About this show

From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels ("The Office," "King of the Hill") and Michael Schur ("The Office," "Saturday Night Live") comes a new mockumentary that looks at the exciting world of local government. Parks and Recreation will examine the mundane but necessary ways that people interact with their government, and ask why it's frequently so complicated -- as everyone knows from standing in line at the DMV, applying for home construction permits, or trying to get the city to fix a pothole.

A hilarious cast lead by the hilarious Amy Poehler. All the characters seem both believably charming and inconceivably ridiculous. A must see if you're one to fall in love with characters and enjoy workplace humour.

I have watched this show SIX times over and i still am in love with it. The cast, the writing, the arcs are all hilarious and heartwarming and I want Leslie Knope to be my friend. Its one of my all time favourite series and honestly its just a really amazing show. I couldn't recommend this enough, if your looking for a reason to watch, just do it! The one thing I would say is season one is difficult to get through for most people, its not terrible I just think the show hadn't found its footing yet but if you can power through the rest of the show makes up for it ten fold (and its still funny as hell, just not as great as the rest of the seasons.) Great show, I couldn't tell you how much I love it!

I finally got around to watching this series after some misguided feeling I had to be loyal to "The Office (U.S)". Great writing, great characters. The development of several of the "main" secondary characters weren't as flushed out as I would've liked to see, but I loved the show almost immediately.
