I'm a little scared to watch these episodes, because I know that I'm going to get attached to the show, and, it seems that every time I get attached to a show, it gets canceled. And, I like this show WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much to want it to get canceled. Because it is *awesome.* Too often, we're given protagonists who are More Than Men, in their perfection - especially in the mystery genre. Even when they're shown as anti-heroes, you *still* end up with Ubermen. But in this show, the protagonist is a very flawed man, due to his mental illness. It's utterly fascinating. And, even as they show the difficulty of living with a mental disorder, they aren't being insulting to those with mental disorders, which is a very hard balancing act. Like I said, I'm utterly entranced with this one.

I usually give most new shows a watch. Especially the summer series as there is little else on in the way of "decent" to watch. Perception is one of those fantastically written and acted shows. The fact the main character suffers from a mental disorder makes this show fascinating. It's witty, well crafted and brilliantly executed. So if you are looking for a "smart" drama to watch, I highly recommend Perception. Enjoy!
