After Chu Qiao jumps off the cliff, she finds Yan Xun reading in a cave. Yan Xun saves Chu Qiao's life once again. Yuwen Huai arrested Xiaoba in order to lure Chu Qiao to come to save her. Yuwen Yue's grandfather finally wakes up. His grandfather warns Yuwen Yue about keeping Chu Qiao by his side, but Yuwen Yue insists she has good potentials to be a spy. He also believes he has no romantic emotion towards her. Chu Qiao confronts with Jin Zhu in person. Jin Zhu accidentally gave away an important information that Young Master Huai falsified the statement. As a result, she is to be sold to a brothel. When Yuwen Huai is about to kill Chu Qiao, Yan Xun comes to rescue her again. Later, Chu Qiao sneaks into the prison and frees Jin Zhu. Jin Zhu still chooses to go back to Yuwen Huai and is killed in the end. However, Jin Zhu's death makes Yuwen Yue suspicious about Chu Qiao

Yuwen Yue's grandfather finds out that Yuwen Xi was involved in a poisoning case sixteen years ago. However, he chooses to keep it from Yuwen Yue for the sake of the Eyes of God. He only tells Yuwen Yue to keep training Chu Qiao. Chu Qiao makes a joke and writes on Yuwen Yue's forehead. Surprisingly, Yuwen Yue is not mad about it. When practicing the ability of distinguishing smells while being blindfolded, Chu Qiao comes across King Yu with a strong smell of Huai Xiang Spice. When practing with King Yu, Chu Qiao shows her extraordinary talents. Later, King Yu and Yan Xun both want Chu Qiao as their maid. However, it is a difficult choice for Yuwen Yue, as he cannot offend either of them. Xiaoba tells Yuwen Yue that Chu Qiao is not her biological sister, which makes Yuwen Yue even more sure that Chu Qiao is a naturally born fighter. During the ceremony, the Princess also knows that Yan Xun's favourite wild kitten is actually Chu Qiao and becomes jealous.

Zhi Xiang understood that Xiaoliu blame herself for Linxi's death. Xiaoliu kept silence after she woke up. Zhixiang tried to confort her saying that they live in the time when life is cheaper than anything else. And that's why they feel sufferable. Xiaoliu said it's not true. She said Linxi will not die for nothing. Xiaoliu then stop blaming herself and try to get herself recovered. Linxi traded her life with his own. She must value herself.

Chu Qiao saves her two sisters, but Xiaoba's face gets ruined. They can't run away, so Chu Qiao has to take them back to the Green Hills Court. When Chu Qiao gets back, Yuwen Yue douses the lights and pretends to be asleep. They suffer from love sickness. Yuwen Yue lets Chu Qiao tell him where she went after the Lantern Festival. He looks at the sandglass and makes Chu Qiao say it for many times. At last, Yuwen Yue analyzes from Cold Food Festival that Chu Qiao wants to take her sisters away and kills Yuwen Huai. Chu Qiao explains and let her emotions show. Yuwen Yue wipes her tears. Yuwen Huai intends to dig the body of Miss Song. However, he also finds the bodies of Chu Qiao's doctor and two slave girls.

The map of military distribution on the border of the Wei State is stolen. The Yuwen Household starts to doubt Yuwen Yue's ability to manage the Eyes of God. Yuwen Yue suspects his mother's psychological illness has something to do with Jile Pavilion. His grandfather promises that if he finishes training Chu Qiao, he will tell him the truth. Chu Qiao is going through more difficult trainings. After she breaks the chains, Yuwen Yue becomes soft-hearted and goes to help her. When Chu Qiao is practicing shooting, His Highness Yu uses Jifeng (Yan Xun's horse) to persuade Chu Qiao to go to admire the flowers with him. Mister Zhu, the butler, ambushes Chu Qiao when she is drinking water. He knocks Chu Qiao down and takes Chu Qiao away. Chu Qiao pleases Yuwen Yue by her glib tongue. Yan Xun goes to the prison to save Chu Qiao, even though it will offend Yuwen Yue. On her way back, a group of killers from the Afterlife Camp is waiting for Chu Qiao. in the nick of time, Yuwen Yue shoots again to help Chu Qiao.

The King of the Yan State sends Yan Xun's mother to take him back. Princess Yuan Chun is about to turn 20 and she doesn't want Yan Xun to leave. Yan Xun tells his mother that he falls in love with someone. The Princess thinks Yan Xun is in love with her and is thrilled. Yuwen Yue's grandfather thinks the reason why Yan Xun stays is for Chu Qiao. Yuwen Yue also intends to send Chu Qiao to Yanbei with Yan Xun to find out the situation there. Chu Qiao does not turn blind because of the drug dripping into her eyes. The drug is given by Yuwen Yue, called Huatuo Water which can enhances Chu Qiao's eye sight. Yuwen Huai is going to host a birthday ceremony for the Princess. The Princess blames Tao Yeji for it. Fangqin explains the metrical patterns in order to dissolve the unpleasant. Chu Qiao finds Fangqin has a familiar smell, and then she follows the Princess of the Liang State who changed into black all the way to the secret path of the Eyes of God. Yuwen Yue leaves the ceremony earlier and avoids the Eyes of God being exposed. However, anyone who comes here is going to die, so is Chu Qiao. Between live and death, Chu Qiao chooses to become a spy officially.

The Yuwen Household gives orders to all gates of the city to track down Miss Tao Ye. The Princess of the Liang State has had many sacrifices. When the Princess recalls the detail of the fight, she is certain that Chu Qiao is Yuwen Yue's weakness. Yan Xun comes to Chu Qiao when she is practising martial art. He promises when the time is settled, he will take her to Yanbei. He also gives her his flute. However, their conversation is overheard by Yuwen Yue. When Chu Qiao gives Yuwen Yue his medicine, he has doubts about her loyalty, which is resolved after Chu Qiao expresses her determination to work for him. The Princess notices Miss Tao Ye and Zhao Xifeng flashing amorous glances towards each other at the ceremony. However, she wants Miss Tao Ye to keep the contact and get intelligence from him. Yuwen Yue starts to train Chu Qiao to be a spy. The responsibility of a spy is to protect his or her country by collecting intelligence. Chu Qiao also gets the decreed to leave the Household because of it.

The Emperor sends Yan Xun's mother back to Yanbei. Before she returns, Yan Xun's words make she gratified. Yue Qi can't find any information about the Princess. Yuwen Yue's grandfather insists to let Chu Qiao follow the Princess and gather intelligence. The Princess discovers the flying bug placed by Chu Qiao. She instead takes advantage of it and feeds the Yuwen Household false information that they are buying weapons. Yan Shicheng's maid spends a fortune buying fifty sets of weapons. Miss Tao Ye goes in and fights with her. Chu Qiao is pushed by Yinxin and gets involved in the fight as well. Yuwen Yue comes to rescue Chu Qiao. However, both of them are driven to despair by the dragon-killing stone of the Princess,the Princess finds Yuwen Xi. She once again threatens to tell the truth regarding the death of Yuwen Yue's mother.
