REACHER

REACHER, a 6’5”, 250-pound, brilliant retired special investigator for the U.S. Army Military Police, visits the small town of Margrave, GA to follow his interest in legendary blues musician Blind Blake. While in a local diner, Reacher is arrested by Margrave police for murder. This puzzles Reacher – he hasn’t killed anyone. Not recently, anyway, and not in this town. Reacher vows to stay in Margrave to track down the real killers and bring them to justice.

Reacher and Roscoe interview Paul Hubble’s wife CHARLIE but Paul isn’t around; Reacher figures that Hubble is either on the run or already dead. The next morning, the pair learn that another murder has occurred. Roscoe brings Reacher with her to the site of the new murder, where he again shocks Finlay with his deductive reasoning. Finlay begrudgingly agrees to work with Reacher on the case.

With the first murder victim identified, Reacher, Roscoe, and Finlay are led to secret service agent MOLLY BETH who provides details on a top-secret investigation one of the victims was working on in Margrave. Finlay and Reacher head to KLINER SR. – Margrave’s chief benefactor and businessman – to ask him questions after discovering his connection to one of the victims.

Reacher and Roscoe get a call from Homeland Security agent Molly Beth, and they make plans to meet and exchange evidence. Mayor Teale reprimands Finlay for how he interrogated Kliner Sr and instructs Finlay to back off the investigation, otherwise, he will be fired. Finlay is appalled by the clear corruption. Finlay receives a call from Picard who shares valuable information about the case – the last known location of the second victim before his death.

After discovering that Kliner Jr has been bullying Roscoe, Reacher confronts Kliner Jr and his friends with his fists. Reacher realizes that Gray, the former police chief, may have left information behind for Roscoe. Reacher meets with Neagley in Memphis where they hunt down a lead for the killer. Their investigation takes an unexpected turn midway through, forcing them to fight for their lives.

Roscoe takes over protection of Hubble’s wife, Charlie, and the Hubble’s two daughters. Picard warns Roscoe to take the family and RUN at any sign of trouble. Reacher and Finlay go on a stakeout when they decide to tail a truck leaving Kliner’s warehouse. They are surprised by what they discover in the truck when it finally stops for a rest. Reacher heads to New York to meet with a new lead and discovers they had everything backwards.

Reacher returns to Margrave to continue the investigations but another murder occurs that hits the group hard. Reacher sets a trap to find evidence that will connect the dots and wind up cracking the case. He and Finlay find the evidence they’ve been looking for and the trio agree it’s time to meet up once more. Neagley calls with new information as Reacher arrives at the scene and realizes they’ve been tricked – putting them all in danger.

Reacher and Finlay discover Roscoe, Charlie, and the girls are being held hostage at a different location. A deal is made in exchange for Charlie and the girls going free. Neagley arrives ready to help. All of their efforts lead to a fiery final battle.
