This show is heartfelt, humorous and eye opening. Incredible to see some Muslims stories that were never told before on screen.... at the same time, also makes you realize how engulfing American Culture is.... The children have a real struggle as they grow up in American society, as well as the parents as they deal with raising kids, who share very few of the values they themselves were raised with. Shines a light on all cultures who assimilate to American Culture.... And dude tries so hard to be a good Muslim... but is that even possible living in America? I work with some Nation of Islam Muslims and I see them struggle with the dichotomy too. Deep, man, deep.
