Daida acknowledges and accepts Miranjo's crimes, then forgives her. As part of his atonement, Daida relinquishes the throne to Bojji. However, Kage feels out of place with his friend's new position of distinction, and leaves Bojji to reign on his own.

Unable to hear, speak, or wield a sword, Prince Bojji doesn’t seem like a typical heir to the throne—and his kingdom agrees. But his fateful encounter with Kage, a shadow on the ground, gives him his first true friend.
