Ricky Zoom

Ricky and the Buddies make a movie about Wheelford for a school project. Ricky is determined that he is going to be the star of the show but soon Scootio is filming Toot instead because she is so funny. Ricky isn’t happy but learns to share the limelight with Toot when she helps Ricky believe that he is a true rescue hero. / Ricky and the buddies are asked to choose their heroes as part of a school project. Ricky chooses Steel Awesome and rides around looking for someone to rescue. Soon Hank helps Ricky in a real rescue of Officer Bunker whose breaks aren't working. Ricky changes his role model from Steel Awesome to his real hero Hank Zoom – his dad.

Maxwell tells the buddies about the famous masked rescue racer The Wheelford Wheeler. The buddies set out to discover the identity of the mysterious Wheelford Wheeler. After discovering it’s not Officer Bunker, Don or Hank they are wowed to realise that The Wheelford Wheeler is Ricky’s mum Helen Zoom! / The Bike Buddies recreate a remote "controller" from a Steel Awesome movie and Toot, who is desperate to play with Ricky and his friends, tricks them into believing it works on her. Toot takes her trick too far when she rides into town on her own and ends up on top of the town’s pizza statue! Ricky brings her back down safely and learns that he should try to always be inclusive of others.

Loop needs to stay clean to get his photo taken for his Dad when he thinks that he only has photos of his brother Blip. The buddies make it their mission to keep Loop clean as they venture to Windshield Point to take the perfect picture. Loop ends up covered in mud but the buddies realise this shows the real Loop. They all learn there’s no point pretending to be something you’re not. / Scootio wants to show her parents how responsible she is and is given the job of paint crew leader on the school track. Scootio chooses Ricky, Loop, and DJ for her paint crew team but when her team mistakenly cover everything in crisscrossed lines, she must keep a cool head to bring everything back into order. Scootio’s mum and dad are so proud of her.

When the buddies become frustrated with Buster for going overboard by inspecting the school race track repeatedly Buster is persuaded to see what rule breaking is like. Buster takes it too far and rides backwards through Wheelford. Ricky races in to rescue Buster just before he crashes and Buster quickly learns that some rules can be broken and some are there for good reason. / Mrs. Bikely has been falling asleep in class and almost driving into potholes. The buddies decide to figure out what’s causing the strange behaviour and set up a stakeout with Officer Bunker. They discover that Mrs. Bikely is sleep biking, the bike equivalent of sleepwalking! The buddies rescue her before she has an accident and realise that by working together they solve even the most puzzling of mysteries!

Ricky and the buddies think that a ghost is driving around Wheelford during the traditional Wheelo-ween trick or treat. Loop is convinced the ghost bike has taken his Wheelo-ween candy so Ricky and the buddies follow a trail to find it. It turns out things aren’t always as they seem as they discover the ghost to be Toot and Buster in fancy dress. / Maxwell and the buddies think that aliens are visiting and chase the alien spaceship through Wheelford to get a closer look! When Scootio sees the spaceship more clearly, she realises things aren’t always as they appear; her ZoomCam has got a wheel hub stuck to it so it looks like an alien spaceship! Scootio manages to land the ZoomCam so that she can show Maxwell that aliens have not arrived in Wheelford.
