In Washington DC, disgraced journalist, Charmain Pepper, investigates Peter's ties with an American think tank, while in London his daughter, Lily, uncovers her affair with Madeleine. As Charmain gets dangerously close to the truth, Peter is forced to go home and deal with his mutinous family.

As Rose deals with a death in prison, Peter is confronted by his family over his affair. It's touch and go whether Helen will stand by him when the time comes. Meanwhile Peter's lawyer, Rochelle picks up the baton from Charmain. And when Rose comes forward, Peter has a big decision to make.
