Clara calls on Esther for help as Edward hatches a plan to ensure his step-sister's downfall.

About this show

Andrew Davies' adaptation of Jane Austen's final, unfinished novel. Charlotte is taken to the thrilling new seaside town of Sanditon by its developer Tom Parker when she helps him after an accident. There she meets a dizzying array of characters, including a damaged young man.

Only watched the first season and was so disappointed in the ending! You watch several episodes following a love story that ends badly and then you think they will be able to find a way back to each other in the 2nd season, and they kill the guy in the first 2 minutes of the second season! What a waste of my time! I would have given 1 star because of that but I have to say that the other characters were interesting to watch so I gave it a second star for that.

I love this show!. Theo James plays a huge part in that. Rose Williams is just as captivating. There's so much to love. Characters, costumes, scenery, music. It's a slow build but definitely worth the watch.

Pleasant but bordering on boring. The sex bits and ending are not typical Jane Austen. Belgravia is much better!
