With Moira away and plenty of free time, Johnny digs into work around the motel, and can't seem to slow down. David takes a quiz that suggests he and Patrick are falling into a boring routine, so Alexis encourages David to reinvigorate their relationship by joining her and Ted on an outdoor adventure.

A sleep-deprived Moira finds a stack of old love letters addressed to Johnny from another woman, and for the first time ever, questions Johnny's loyalty. When a burglar holds up Rose Apothecary, demanding cash, David and Stevie bend over backwards to placate the criminal. Meanwhile, Alexis goes to great lengths to retrieve a heart-shaped locket Ted gave her years ago.
