Here's a quote from producer Tyler Grey: 'Seal Team' is not real, but authentic. If you're really interested in military, especially special operations, then the show is far more entertaining than most high-budget Hollywood "military movies". While there is no glitzy special effects, the portrayal of special operations tactics and techniques is very accurate and professional. And the main actors are very professionally trained, without the silly Hollywood flourish in action scenes. There are many real special operations veterans involved in the production, they not only serve as military advisers, but also play the characters. Here's just what I know: Tyler Grey (Delta Force veteran): Producer, Actor (played Bravo-4 'Trent'); Mark Semos (Navy Seal veteran): Writer, Actor (played 'John TJ Monero' in season 2); Scott Foxx (Navy Seal veteran): Actor (played Alpha-1); Daniel Briggs (Delta Force veteran): Actor (played Alpha-2 'Derek' in season 1); Garrett Golden (Devgru veteran): Actor (played Alpha-2 in season 2); Jeff Bosley (Green Beret veteran): Stunt, actor(played Echo-1 'Steve Porter' in Season 1 ); Chase Rivera (Force Recon veteran): Stunt (double for AJ Buckley).
