A new mission calls the Star Force back into action, and the legendary Space Battleship Argo will launch once again to find a new home for the human race. But the crew is unaware that beyond the edge of the solar system two fearsome empires have arisen, and in their struggle for territory have turned the galaxy into a cosmic battlefield.

After leaving the solar system on its new mission, the Argo has been caught up in a violent battle between two enemy forces: the Galman Empire and the Bolar Federation. Siding with the valiant Captain Ram of the Bolar ship Legendra, the Star Force becomes the target of Admiral Dagon and his deadly Galman starfleet. As they plunge deeper into unexplored space, Dagon unleashes all his destructive power on his new enemy, making it his personal vendetta to wipe them out. Time is also an enemy ... for back on earth, every plan to deal with the sun's runaway nuclear fusion ends in failure, and the only hope is for the Star Force to find a new home for all of humanity.
3 The Bolar Wars: Part III
1/1/79

At every turn, the Star Force has defeated Admiral Dagon of the Galman Empire. But now, with a massive new warfleet at his command and the tides of space itself to throw at the Argo, he believes he cannot fail to destroy his hated enemy. However, Dagon is not the only force to be reckoned with. Prime Minister Bemlayze of the formidable Bolar Federation also becomes interested in the Argo's progress, and a planet he has not yet conquered ... earth. Elsewhere, Desslok of Gamilon learns of a traitor in his midst who worships Queen Gardiana, a space goddess thought long-dead who could now threaten the galactic balance of power between the Bolar and the Galmans. Giant forces are beginning to move, and the galaxy itself feels the tremors!
4 The Bolar Wars: Part IV
1/1/79
Season-only
Having narrowly escaped the determined might of both Prime Minister Bemlayze and Admiral Dagon, the Star Force and its new recruits are attacked by a fearsome new enemy, the Lone Wolf of space and his deadly dimensional submarines - who accomplish what no one else could when they succeed in subduing the Argo. But behind this enemy is an old friend: Desslok, the former leader of the Gamilons, now the Emperor of the gigantic Galman Empire. Desslok intervenes on behalf of the Star Force ... but the man who once almost destroyed the earth has not left his warlike ways behind, and not even Derek Wildstar knows how far Desslok can be trusted.
5 The Bolar Wars: Part V
1/1/79
Season-only
Moved by the plight of the earth, which is threatened by runaway nuclear fusion on the sun, Desslok sends the best scientific minds of the Galman Empire to the solar system in an attempt to prevent disaster. But the Argo's mission to find a new home for humanity must continue; the Star Force makes its way to a legendary planet called Phantom, which is rumored to be exactly like their home planet. Equally legendary is the mythical space goddess, Queen Gardiana, who calls out to the hearts and minds of those who wish to escape the ever-escalating war between the Galman Empire and the Bolar Federation.
6 The Bolar Wars: Part VI
1/1/79
Season-only
While investigating Planet Phantom as a possible future home for humanity, the Star Force instead finds the successor to the mythical Queen Gardiana, and the forces of both the Galman Empire and the Bolar Federation mobilize to capture her. The Argo itself becomes the flashpoint of the galactic war that has long been brewing between these mighty powers, and nothing can turn back the tide. Meanwhile, the human race counts down its final days. The sun's runaway nuclear fusion has begun to scorch the earth, and the Star Force still has not found another world fit for emigration. In the explosive rush to war, who will pause to help one tiny planet?

I'm so happy I can share this with my kids. Long live the StarForce! The episodes are from the US release so a couple of oddball edits but the overall quality is pretty good. $20 a season is a steal with 24 episodes per season. Thank you for making this available!

The Battleship Yamato becomes a spaceship to save planet earth, and save it it does! Against the Gamilons, the Comet Empire, the Bolar Wars, and the Dark Nebula Forces. Every episode was a " cliff-hanger" and if you missed an episode......you missed alot! The Japanese animaters sure know how to tell a story!
