At the end of the 24th Century, and 14 years after his retirement from Starfleet, Jean-Luc Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) is living a quiet life on his vineyard, Chateau Picard. When he is sought out by a mysterious young woman, Dahj (Isa Briones), in need of his help, he soon realizes she may have personal connections to his own past.

4 Absolute Candor

The crew's journey to Freecloud takes a detour when Picard orders a stop at the planet Vashti, where Picard and Raffi relocated Romulan refugees 14 years earlier. Upon arrival, Picard reunites with Elnor (Evan Evagora), a young Romulan he befriended during the relocation. Meanwhile, Narek continues his attempts to learn more about Soji while Narissa's impatience with his lack of progress grows.

The La Sirena crew begin an unpredictable and lively expedition on Freecloud to search for Bruce Maddox. When they learn Maddox has found himself in a precarious situation, a familiar face offers her assistance.

Picard and the crew track Soji to the Borg cube in Romulan space, resurfacing haunting memories for Picard. Meanwhile, Narek believes he finally found a way to safely exploit Soji for information.

Picard and Soji transport to the planet Nepenthe, home to some old and trusted friends. As the rest of the La Sirena crew attempt to join them, Picard helps Soji make sense of her recently unlocked memories. Meanwhile, Hugh and Elnor are left on the Borg cube and must face an angered Narissa.

When devastating truths behind the Mars attack are revealed, Picard realizes just how far many will go to preserve secrets stretching back generations, all while the La Sirena crew grapples with secrets and revelations of their own. Narissa directs her guards to capture Elnor, setting off an unexpected chain of events on the Borg cube.

From the same nonsense political message perspective that gives us Star Trek Discovery, comes Picard, a weak, unintentionally hilarious storyline that seems to be from the same mindset that gave the world barbarella. A politically motivated robotic plot that has the protagonist on a weak hsauce journey through space to become a literal NPC. And we're supposed to think that robo-copy Picard is as legitimate as real Picard. What a sad end to a great character.

This show is a boldface lie. Its in no way Star Trek, nor is it Picard. its more Discovery garbage with a similarly incoherent and laughably Half-baked plot, cringingly bad writing, Empty vapid characters, and similar deconstruction of established characters from Trek's past. Another insulting joke from the empty void that is Alex Kurtzman's "creative" (and I use that term completely sarcastically) mind. if you have any connection to real Star Trek in the slightest, avoid this like the plague.

Upgraded my rating to 2 1/2 stars. Picard is a pretty good series, which barely qualifies as Star Trek. Great cast. Interesting concepts. Misses a chance to expand upon potential side-stories, which would have enriched background character development. Picard, the character, is not protrayed correctly; thus, the actor is still playing Logan's Charles Xavier. All of Picard's original body language, quirks, and charm have been lost. Patrick's voice, due to age, barely projects strength.
