The initial excitement of seeing the much beloved Captain Picard return, is soon marred by terrible scripts and pacing. Even the careful placing of cameos from members of the crew cannot rescue this series. The muddled story shows utter disdain for some of the most popular characters of the franchise, and Picard himself often takes a back seat to the action, no doubt due to his advancing years. I was feeling relieved that is wasn't as bad as Star Trek Discovery, but then came season 2 :(

O.A.Picard rolls through the series on a cleverly cloaked Zimmer frame.... rather silly on the whole but Patrick Stewart is simply an awesome actor that could bring gravitas to a script for Peppa pig.
