There's a catch, however - the only living being who knows where the cash is stashed is Teflon, Don's talking parrot - and the parrot has been kidnapped. Can Woody's mastery of disguise help him unmask the birdnapper before it's too late?

Woody is given a job delivering an urn to a neighbouring island. However, after police raid the boat he is travelling on, searching for a drug smuggler, Woody realises he has been set up and has to jump ship and swim for his life. Meanwhile, back at the bar, Brutus is caught out when his ex-wife Beverley walks in for a drink out of the blue. The trouble is that the last time Bev knew Brutus's whereabouts, he was at his funeral after faking his own death.

It's the island's annual hypnotism convention - Brutus's favourite time of the year. A visiting hypnotist, the Fabulous Mark, arrives asking for Woody and Brutus's help with a stage show gone wrong. Mark's act caused a hypnotised audience member to flee the venue, vowing to track down and kill the hypnotist. Woody goes on the hunt for the missing man, ending up in jail and performing his own hypnotism show, before finding himself in a midnight showdown between some very unfriendly hypnotists.

When Brutus’ barman Zorro gambles away the bar, Woody is roped into a deal with the casino owners to save it. Somebody is ripping off the casino and he needs to find out who it is before the casino's owners - the Gamberos brothers and notorious gangsters - arrive on the island in 48 hours' time. With Melody by his side, Woody goes undercover. Will he find the thief before the Gamberos brothers arrive and Brutus loses his beloved bar forever?
5 The Usual Suspects

Woody, Brutus, Zorro and Melody find themselves locked up in a prison cell in fancy dress with enormous hangovers and only a hazy recollection of the previous night. It transpires that Brutus, Melody and Zorro have been detained on suspicion of the murder of Spanish tribute singer Elton Juan. Woody, however, didn't attend the party and has only been held on a minor charge. He is soon released, but his friends still locked up it's down to him to clear their names.

Woody is employed by a company running pirate boat parties for tourists. When a new rival company threatens to sabotage the business, Woody is asked to come on board and help. But once on the boat (and, of course, deep undercover as a pretend pirate), Woody discovers all is not what is seems. Kidnapped at sea, Woody's life is in danger as pretend pirate battles turn into real ones. Once more Woody must rely on his wits and clever disguises, including the infamous British spy Peter Smiley, and of course on his friends, to get him out of trouble.

About this show

Set on a fictional Spanish island, Suntrap is a crime comedy in which an undercover reporter and his former mentor join forces to solve mysteries on a Spanish island. Undercover reporter Woody is on the run after uncovering a plot which goes right to the heart of the British establishment. Woody's editor Frank is involved in the plot and sets Woody up, meaning he has to flee the British Security Services - fast. He escapes to a Spanish island to seek refuge with his former Fleet Street mentor Brutus - now retired from journalism and running a bar. Initially unhappy to see him, Brutus quickly realizes that Woody's unrivalled ability to go undercover in any guise can make them both money.

Great fan of Walsh as an actor but this was absolute rubbish glad I only bought the first episode and did not buy the whole series did not even get to the end of the first episode.

This has a great script, really funny, and well written, it might be a bit cheesy but I think it's a gem of a program!
