1 Night One

General Santa Anna, leader of the Mexican Army, has emerged victorious at the Alamo – inflicting a brutal defeat on the Texians in his determination to quell their rebellion. Amidst the ashes of the massacre, he sends Emily West, one of the few women survivors, to recount the horrors she has seen to his nemesis, Texan leader General Samuel Houston. Fear makes men foolish and rash – and Santa Anna wants his opponents to know just what he is capable of. At the same time, unseen by the Mexicans, Lorca, the only man to survive the Alamo attack, sneaks away, intent on unleashing the harshest vengeance for the deaths of his comrades.
2 Night Two

Buffalo Hump, leader of the Comanches, observes an Indian attack on Emily West’s wagon train from afar, and makes his own plans to use the Texas uprising to his advantage. With the help of Deaf and his Rangers, Emily West, Houston’s old flame, succeeds in reaching the Texan General to tell him what she has seen. She warns him that Santa Anna plans to quash their rebellion fort by fort – and his next target is Goliad. Houston gives immediate orders for Colonel Fannin and his army to abandon Goliad, but will his orders reach them – and will the unreliable Fannin obey them - before Santa Anna can inflict another disastrous defeat on the Texan campaign?
3 Night Three

As the Mexican onslaught continues, Houston’s rag tag Army is close to mutiny. At Coleto Creek, the indecisive Colonel Fannin makes a fatal error, and Santa Anna’s men, led by General Urrea, surround and ambush his Texan troops. The desperate Fannin sends an order to Houston for more men, while General Urrea, confident of victory, sends word to Santa Anna that Texan surrender is imminent.

In Santa Anna’s camp Emily has used all her powers of seduction to get close to the Mexican leader. Braving danger at seducing Santa Anna, Emily gathers vital intelligence that will prove an indispensable weapon in the Texians ongoing pursuit of victory.

When settler James Wykoff finds an Indian arrow on his property, he starts to suspect that his new homestead isn’t as safe as Empresario Buckley led him to believe. Empresario Buckley, the self-appointed Sheriff of Victoria, arrests Jack Hays and Bigfoot Wallace for a crime they did not commit, Betrayed by those closest to him, Sam Houston receives a visit from Secretary of War Thomas Rusk, who is prepared to relieve him of his command. But when the Texas Rangers return from a successful mission, Rusk is convinced to change his mind and Houston orders his army south to battle Santa Anna’s men at San Jacinto, in what will become their most crucial battle in the war for Texan independence.

The Rangers track down and rescue Emily West from Portilla and his soldiers. Unfortunately Colby Pitt is shot in the rescue attempt. Arriving back in Victoria, the Texas Rangers bring Emily to the Wykoff homestead to recover. Accusations run rife when Pauline Wykoff encounters Empresario Buckley, who sold her family the land without warning them of the Comanche threat, an act which led to the brutal slaying of her husband and children. Well acted (in the main) and (basically) based on actual events. Lacking in spectacle though. Battle / army scenes are too much like Sharpe in that hundreds of troops are represented by a few dozen. Ah well, can't have everything...
