Eve Lockhart runs forensic research facility ‘The Body Farm’ studying the complex journey the body goes through as it decays. Eve and her team of scientists quickly discover that dealing with victims of crime is a lot messier than any of them expect.

Eve and the team discover the body of a young prostitute on the estate of a wealthy businessman. Hale is determined not to let the man’s power and influence get in the way of the investigation.

The team investigates strange events on a trawler in a small fishing community. Crew member, Connor Ryan, is found dead. Skipper, Patsy Fay, and marine biologist Tom Wilkes are missing. Eve must discover who is telling the truth about Connor’s death.

Eve and the team are called to a women’s prison to carry out tests on the body of a girl who died in unusual circumstances. The body is badly bruised but Eve doesn’t think that the death was caused by a fight.

The team investigates the death of prominent human rights lawyer Richard Warner, who died recently in a fire at his home. Hale suspects one of Warner's former clients of starting the fire.

The team investigates the death of a man from a travelling community. The community is very suspicious of the police and says they will deal with the man’s death themselves.

The Body Farm: a private lab where the boundaries of experimental forensic research are pushed to the limit. Eve Lockhart and her team of scientists get under the skin of murder victims – and reveal the inevitable trail left behind after the kill. When called on by the police to help solve a series of grisly murders, Eve sees an opportunity to both pay the bills and expand her operation.
