If you like Vikings you'll like this. The battle scenes are no way near as epic but the show overall is still very enjoyable. My only complaint is that they're going through years and months very quickly, leaving little room for character development. So far it's not bad but I would like to be able to get to know the characters more.

Starting to realize that Uhltred isn't the sharpest pencil in the box, despite lots of advice coming from wise and experienced people around him. Is he arrogant or stubborn or stupid or proud or....afraid of succeeding? Maybe he just needs to grow up...if he lives that long!

This show ranks somewhere between 'OMG I have to watch every episode live' & 'Meh, I've watched everything on my list, but I'm not switching to cable!' Dreymon's Uhtred is slightly stale compared to the meaty performances given by secondary characters. Matthew McFayden is a BAMF. Also, can we please stop saying 'hump'? Of all the synonyms for sex in 1000 years of spoken English, that's the best they could come up with?
