One of NY's most beloved news anchors, Mike Henry (Michael J. Fox, "Spin City", "Family Ties"), put his career on hold to spend more time with his family and focus on his health after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. But now five years later, with the kids busy growing up and Mike growing restless, it just might be time for him to get back to work. Having never wanted Mike to leave in the first place, his old boss Harris Green (Wendell Pierce, "Treme", "The Wire") jumped at the chance to get him back on TV. The trick, as it's always been, was to make Mike think it was his idea. After several - okay, many - failed attempts, Mike's family, anxious to see him out of the house, finally succeeded in getting him to "run into" Green. Now their plan is in motion. He'll be back to juggling home, family and career, just like the old days - only better.

At Annie's (Betsy Brandt) request, Mike (Michael J. Fox) confronts a noisy (and attractive) upstairs neighbor (guest star Tracy Pollan), who seems to develop a bit of a crush on him. Though Annie thinks it's cute, Mike refuses to admit he enjoys the added attention. To Eve's (Juliette Goglia) chagrin, Ian (Conor Romero) tries to court her new friend from school. After enjoying the perks of being mistaken for a single mom during a day out with Graham (Jack Gore), Leigh (Katie Finneran) considers letting the ruse play out a little longer.

Mike (Michael J. Fox) and Annie (Betsy Brandt) are thrilled about Eve's (Juliette Goglia) newfound excitement for a photography class -- until they discover the racy subject matter. After Ian (Conor Romero) and his girlfriend, Reese (guest star Alice Kremelberg), get in a fight, Harris (Wendell Pierce) and Leigh (Katie Finneran) try to give them both advice. Graham (Jack Gore) overhears Mike say the best way to smooth over a fight is to admit blame and tries to use this advice to get away with anything.

As he and Annie (Betsy Brandt) vie to interest Graham (Jack Gore) in their favorite hobbies, Mike (Michael J. Fox) is shocked when his longtime nemesis is hired to anchor the evening news. Guest starring Anne Heche.

Mike's (Michael J. Fox) plan to get closer to Eve (Juliette Goglia) through an internship at the station backfires when she's poached his nemesis, Susan Rodriguez-Jones (guest star Anne Heche). As Ian (Conor Romero) looks for an intern for his internet startup, Annie (Betsy Brandt) struggles with giving Leigh (Katie Finneran) an honest appraisal of her young adult novel.

Annie (Betsy Brandt) learns that Mike (Michael J. Fox) apologized to a stranger for her hotheaded behavior by claiming she's mentally ill. Leigh (Katie Finneran) adopts a puppy and then leaves Eve (Juliette Goglia) in charge.

When Mike (Michael J. Fox) and Annie (Betsy Brandt) take a romantic weekend away at a charity golf tournament, Ian (Conor Romero) and Eve (Juliette Goglia) rent out the apartment to make some extra cash. After Leigh's (Katie Finneran) date cancels on her, she has a "date night" with Graham (Jack Gore) instead.

Mike's (Michael J. Fox) love for Leigh (Katie Finneran) is tested when a bed bug infestation forces her to move in with his family. At the same time, Mike prepares for a big interview with Governor Chris Christie, while Eve (Juliette Goglia) regrets playing a practical joke on Ian (Conor Romero).

When Mike (Michael J. Fox) discovers Ian (Conor Romero) is going to homecoming with his high school girlfriend (guest star Alice Kremelberg), he tries to convince him to reconsider college. Annie (Betsy Brandt) becomes jealous when she realizes Eve (Juliette Goglia) has been confiding in Leigh (Katie Finneran) instead of her. Graham (Jack Gore) seeks revenge after Mike and Annie throw away his old toys.

When their parents come for Thanksgiving, Mike (Michael J. Fox) struggles with his dad's "no coddling" policy, while Leigh (Katie Finneran) warns Annie (Betsy Brandt) about her mom's constant meddling. Guest starring Charles Grodin and Candice Bergen.

As a snowstorm threatens Mike (Michael J. Fox) and Annie's (Betsy Brandt) annual Christmas gift competition, Ian (Conor Romero) worries that his parents have given up on making the holiday magical for Graham (Jack Gore), and Eve (Juliette Goglia) decides she'd rather be Jewish.

As Mike (Michael J. Fox) bends the truth to throw a party celebrating Harris (Wendell Pierce) winning a big award, Eve (Juliette Goglia) and Ian (Conor Romero) join forces to put some fun into the "safe" slumber party Annie (Betsy Brandt) has planned for Graham (Jack Gore).

Mike's (Michael J. Fox) reputation as a crack investigative reporter is endangered when a longtime neighbor is found to be an infamous mobster (guest star Richard Kind). As Ian (Conor Romero) and Eve (Juliette Goglia) suspect their jailed neighbor entrusted Graham (Jack Gore) with a valuable secret, Leigh (Katie Finneran) and Harris (Wendell Pierce) go to great lengths to keep their new relationship a secret.

Mike (Michael J. Fox) and Annie (Betsy Brandt) are excited to find a compatible couple living in the building. As Eve (Juliette Goglia) pretends to be the "bad girl" to impress an older guy, Ian (Conor Romero) worries that Graham (Jack Gore) caught him watching porn.

Mike (Michael J. Fox) and Susan (Anne Heche) head to Sochi to cover the Winter Olympics. Meanwhile, as Annie (Betsy Brandt) coaches Eve (Juliette Goglia) in a teen beauty pageant, Leigh (Katie Finneran) is convinced she's dating a ghost who's haunting her apartment.
