Amy and Ben make a rushed decision that could change their lives after Anne informs Amy that she needs to get a job to support her baby.

The marriage is revealed to the parents, which leads to a brief reconciliation between Anne and George; Adrian's father tries to find out who is behind the fake I.D.s.

Amy and Ben battle with the concept of adoption; Ricky's dad comes to town; Jack shows up on Grace's date, again.

Ricky's abusive father, Bob, returns with the idea of making money on the adoption of Amy's baby. George searches for an accomplice for his intended harm to Bob. Ben feels slighted when Amy prevents him from coming to the baby's first sonogram. Ashley takes a job at a cocktail bar.

Amy and Ricky discuss adoption, while George is approached by his co-worker about possibly adopting Amy's baby.

Donovan and Leon talk to Amy about adopting; Shawna and Jack get back together; Ben vacillates about Amy; Ricky decides he wants Amy; Grace and Adriana fight.

Ricky schemes to get Amy back and scares off Donovan and Leo; Grace's parents give her the birth control pill, which intrigues the guys at school; Adrian goes on an actual date with Max; Ben tells Amy he wants them to raise the baby together.

Anne finds a job so she can go through with her divorce from George and manages to get Amy a job at the same time, to teach Amy a lesson about taking responsibility for herself and her baby; Thomas makes his move on Ashley; Ben vies for Amy's heart at Ricky's expense and in order to win her brother's affection; Adrian decides to reclaim her virginity.

Anne goes for a job interview an architectural firm; George tries to sabotage the interview by misinforming Anne that her interviewer is gay and deaf in one ear; Amy contemplates her decision to give up her baby, while her friends try to show how they can help; Ricky and Ben get a job at a butcher shop to make some money to help Amy.

Grace helps Adrian put together Amy's baby shower; Amy goes into labor; George tells Anne that Ashley is moving in with him.

As Amy goes through contractions at the hospital, she thinks back to how she and Ricky met.

Amy's friends wait for the delivery of the baby, but leave when it takes too long; Ben tries to befriend Ricky; Amy has the baby and names it John; Ashley and George move next door to Anne; Jack and Grace get back together.
