The first episode was great, this show had so much potential. Allanon was really good. All the cast were great. But then, it falls off a cliff! They must have ran out of money after that. The story doesn't go anywhere. It turns into a non-adventure with characters who are trying to sleep with each other, which doesn't happen in the book. Hopefully Terry Brooks made enough money off this rip off to make a decent version of one the best stories I have ever read. The books were classics, but this TV show is disgraceful. And the elfstones look like cheap props. The Rovers are rapists, I couldn't believe it. I thought the Rover leader was a main character. What were they thinking. The Sword of Shannara could be movie series better than Lord of the Rings, but this TV show is tainting the brand, they should cancel it quick and hope that people forget about it. I didn't think it was possible to ruin a Shannara story.

I want to love it so so so bad, the books were classics. Actors could grow in their roles, I believe this to be the work of bad directing and writing. They focus on worthless dialogue. The action is sooooo bad it's a joke. Example: when the druid is stabbed in th back by the demon swd by the elf prince. He throws a book at the kid and turns his back on him forever and a day. Just one example the action sceens truly ruin the show.

It's a bad series, two good actors and the rest who can't act. A shame really, after watching the first season I gave up. Books are so much better, though in the TV version they screwed up since none of the older world wasn't supposed to be seen. If the creators wanted that then adapt Word and the Void trilogy.
