While visiting her dying mother, Detective Robin Griffin takes on the case of a twelve-year-old pregnant girl Tui, who then disappears.

Robin's search for the pregnant twelve-year-old Tui in the vast southern wilderness starts to uncover secrets in the small community living on the edge of 'Paradise'.

The local police make a grim discovery. Whilst at the Women's Camp, Robin is warned that the search for Tui will bring her to her knees.

Robin makes a breakthrough in her investigation but Al warns that her own dark past is coloring her judgment.

Despite her mother's concerns, Robin's passionate affair with Tui's half-brother Johnno intensifies and complicates.

Matt gathers troops to hunt his daughter down and Tui's friends trek deep into the mountains to celebrate her birthday, with tragic consequences.
