About this show

This is the story of someone who committed murder and escaped justice for nearly fourty years. Using a unique structure, and revealing the identity of the killer part-way through, the series looks at how such an historic investigation affects the lives of all touched by it, from the first police knock on the door to the final tabloid report on the murderer in his prison cell three months after the conviction.
