When he learns that his mother is dying, self-destructive musician Lucky packs up his battered old piano for a 4,000-mile road trip across Australia to be with his estranged family.

Written by and starring multi award-winning Tim Minchin, 'Upright' is a raw, heart-warming drama which follows two misfits, Lucky (Minchin) and Meg (Milly Alcock), who, thrown together by chance in the middle of the Australian desert, forge a bond in a quest to transport a precious piano from one side of the country to the other.
