We Are Lady Parts

Geeky PhD student and part-time guitar teacher AMINA HUSSEIN is desperate to find a husband. She meets a prospective husband with her parents TARIQ and SEEMA, but the 'date' ends in disaster. Meanwhile, punk band, Lady Parts rehearse in preparation for an upcoming 'Battle of the Bands' audition but fiery frontwoman Saira cuts them short, insisting they need a lead guitarist to complete their sound and ignoring the protestations of band mates Ayesha, Bisma and Momtaz. The band decide to hold auditions at the butchers where Saira works. When Amina stumbles in by chance, Saira recognizes her from a primary school performance where she played guitar in assembly before throwing up due to her stage fright. Saira demands Amina audition but she makes a hasty escape, explaining her fear of performing induces diarrhea and vomiting. Their worlds collide again when the band track her down at a community fundraiser where the children she teaches guitar to are performing.

Amina receives an enticing proposition: audition with Lady Parts and they will set her up on a date.

The strain of living a double life starts to take its toll on Amina.

Unable to get a gig and on a low ebb, Lady Parts return to their humdrum lives.

The band are buzzing about the prospect of being interviewed by the popular 'influencer' Zarina.

Amina is out of Lady Parts and shunned by her old friends, but Momtaz wants the band back together.
