Will & Grace

Grace (Debra Messing) wants to prove that she's not completely dependent upon Will (Eric McCormack) by moving to the apartment across the hall. As a bold display of her newly found independence, she decides to throw a dinner party without the help of Will - much to the chagrin of her guests. In his own act of liberation, Will decides to ask a guy out that he met in a bookstore. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) moves into the maid quarters of Karen's (Megan Mullally) mansion with Rosario (guest star Shelley Morrison).

Grace (Debra Messing) discovers that Will (Eric McCormack) has certain perks in his apartment, such as a working fireplace, that other tenants, like her, don't have. Realizing that he's been able to acquire these goodies as President of the board of tenants, she decides to run against him in the upcoming election. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) is devastated when his beloved pet bird, Guapo, escapes when Karen (Megan Mullally) accidentally leaves a window open.

When a photo of Grace (Debra Messing) gets published in a newspaper in which she appears to be much more well-endowed than she actually is, she gets asked out the next day by her unrequited high-school heartthrob (guest star Salvator Xuereb), but Karen (Megan Mullally) convinces her it's only because of the photo. Desperate to live up to her "fullfigured" image, Grace buys herself an undergarment that has less than the desired effect. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) discovers that Will (Eric McCormack) slept with one of his old lovers.

Grace (Debra Messing), who is usually irritated by her well-meaning but meddling mother (guest star Debbie Reynolds), gets jealous when her mom starts to dote on Will (Eric McCormack). Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes), Karen (Megan Mullally) and Rosario (guest star Shelley Morrison) have an interesting visit with an I.N.S. officer (guest star Cameron Watson).

When Will's (Eric McCormack) ego is inflated by his powerful client, Harlin Polk (guest star Gary Grubbs) who encompasses 90% of his business, he makes the mistake of dismissing the many clients who believed in him before his success. Meanwhile, Grace (Debra Messing) tries to help curb Karen's (Megan Mullally) out-of-control spending after her husband forces her to live within a budget. Sean Hayes also stars as Jack.

A recently unemployed Will (Eric McCormack) is challenged by Jack (Sean Hayes) to join his staff as a cater-waiter. Meanwhile, Grace (Debra Messing) discovers a naughty, naughty little secret of Karen's (Megan Mullally).

When Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) meet Jack's (Sean Hayes) mother (guest star Veronica Cartwright) and learn that not only is she unaware that her son is gay, she believes he has had a romantic relationship with Grace, they invite her to Thanksgiving dinner with Jack hoping to force the issue into the open. But nobody is prepared for the holiday surprise that she has for them. Megan Mullally also stars.

Grace (Debra Messing) is hired as an interior design consultant by a successful lawyer (Tony-winning guest star Gregory Hines) but when he reneges on his payment, she calls on Will (Eric McCormack) to represent her. Will so impresses the defendant/lawyer that he later hires Will himself. Elsewhere, Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) are contracted to create a sexual harassment video.

Will and Grace find themselves “cheating”on their old, dull friends Rob and Ellen. Karen can no longer dodge the parent-teacher conference at her step kid’s school.

Will's (Eric McCormack) new boss (guest star Gregory Hines) gives him an ultimatum - he has until Friday to bring in a major new client to the firm or lose his job. At the eleventh hour, Will is still empty-handed - but then Karen (Megan Mullally) pays an unexpected visit, and he gets an idea. Meanwhile, Grace (Debra Messing) and Jack (Sean Hayes) discover that their favorite show, "Antiques on the Road," will be filming locally, and resolve to get themselves in front of the cameras.

When Will (Eric McCormack) finds out that Grace (Debra Messing) is dating his therapist, he believes it confirms his notion that Grace always has to be the center of attention. The whole issue causes Will to experience some strange dreams. Also, Jack (Sean Hayes) stands up to Karen (Megan Mullally) about how poorly she treats Rosario (guest star Shelley Morrison).

Will's (Eric McCormack) best friend from high school, Claire (guest star Megyn Price, "Lateline"), comes to visit, with an unusual request - she would like her former classmate to donate the fruit of his loins so she can have a baby. Grace (Debra Messing) is NOT pleased. Also starring Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally.

Will's (Eric McCormack) ideal relationship with his loving father (guest star and Oscar-winning director Sydney Pollack) sours when his dad prepares to accept an award at his company's dinner banquet but tries to dissuade his son from attending because he's told everyone that Will is married to Grace (Debra Messing). Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) plots to have Jack (Sean Hayes) rendezvous with the man (guest star Perry King, "Riptide") whom she thinks is the father he's never met.

When a kiss between two gay men scheduled to air on TV doesn't happen, Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack (Sean Hayes) go to the network to complain and have an unexpected meeting with the "Today" show's Al Roker (gueststarring as himself). Debra Messing and Megan Mullally also star in this episode partially shot on the streets of New York City.

When Will (Eric McCormack) is set up on a blind date (guest star Michael E. Rodgers) by his boss (guest star Gregory Hines), he has internal debates on whether or not to go. Of course, Jack (Sean Hayes) gives Will advice on how to be a good blind date. Meanwhile, Grace (Debra Messing) continues to struggle with her wimpy boyfriend Josh (guest star Corey Parker) as Karen (Megan Mullally) doles out some typically un-wanted advice.

Will's (Eric McCormack) ex-boyfriend Michael (guest star Chris Potter) is back in town and Will gets the vibe that he just might want to rekindle their relationship. In a rare moment of self-evaluation, Karen (Megan Mullally) decides that it's time for her to become a more involved employee at Grace Adler Designs and asks Grace (Debra Messing) for some added responsibilities. Also starring Sean Hayes.

While on a blind date, Will (Eric McCormack) finds out that Karen's husband Stan has had a heart attack and rushes to the hospital to be with the gang. Will, Jack (Sean Hayes), Grace (Debra Messing), and Rosario (guest-star Shelly Morrison) all speculate on who Karen (Megan Mullally) will turn to for her inevitable emotional breakdown. After all, who will pay the bills if Stan dies?

After winning a call-in radio contest for prized concert tickets, Grace (Debra Messing) vows to reciprocate and volunteers her time to charity, but when she recruits Will (Eric McCormack) to join her at a community center, she quickly begs off her commitment when it conflicts with her busy social calendar. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) and Jack (Sean Hayes) don't escape either from Grace's newfound charity which forces Karen to rifle through her closet - and allows Jack to accidentally donate a pair of Karen's most-prized shoes. Shelly Morrison guest stars as Rosario.

When Ellen (guest star Leigh-Allyn Baker) and Rob (guest star Tom Gallop) announce that they are getting married, Grace (Debra Messing) feels forced to reveal to Will (Eric McCormack) that she once slept with Rob - a secret that surfaces at Ellen's bachelorette party, and prompts Ellen to seek revenge. During Rob's bachelor party, Jack (Sean Hayes) is confused and baffled by his reactions to the entertainment. Megan Mullally also stars.

Grace (Debra Messing) becomes chummy with her unpredictable neighbor Val (guest star Molly Shannon, NBC's "Saturday Night Live," who reprises a character she formerly played) from down the hall, and while the pair surprisingly find they share a mutual rapport, Grace's glow dims when she tells Will (Eric McCormack) that a sentimental music box has disappeared during her new pal's visit. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) poses as a straight man to attend a party for former homosexuals who have become heterosexual - fully intent on swaying a new convert (Neil Patrick Harris, "Stark Raving Mad") back to his side of the gender-preference aisle. Megan Mullally also stars.

It's a scary glimpse into the future for Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) when they visit their curmudgeonly retired college professor (guest star Orson Bean) only to discover that he is a bitter old man that has a "Grace" (guest star Piper Laurie) of his own. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) must confront her most mortal enemy - the kitchen - when Stan requests a home cooked meal for his birthday, and she looks to Jack (Sean Hayes) and Ben (guest star Gregory Hines) to come to her rescue.

Grace (Debra Messing) discovers that one of Karen's (Megan Mullally) friends is the notorious Helena Barnes (guest star Joan Collins, "Dynasty"), one of New York's most-celebrated interior designers, and her primary competition for a lucrative design job. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) might regret it when he convinces Will (Eric McCormack) to help him try to obtain financing for his latest venture, The Subway Tush - a portable seat to make subway rides comfy.

Unknown to Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing) has a romantic dalliance with his boss Ben (guest star Gregory Hines), but when Will finds out, she makes him promise not to interfere. At the same time, Rosario (guest star Shelley Morrison) kindly informs Jack (Sean Hayes) that she wants a divorce so she can marry Karen's (Megan Mullally) gardener; Ben and Jack compete at tap after Jack boasts about his fancy dancing, and the season ends with living arrangements taking an interesting twist for the four Manhattan friends.
