1 Guess Who's Not Coming to Dinner

Grace (Debra Messing) wants to prove that she's not completely dependent upon Will (Eric McCormack) by moving to the apartment across the hall. As a bold display of her newly found independence, she decides to throw a dinner party without the help of Will - much to the chagrin of her guests. In his own act of liberation, Will decides to ask a guy out that he met in a bookstore. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) moves into the maid quarters of Karen's (Megan Mullally) mansion with Rosario (guest star Shelley Morrison).
2 Election

Grace (Debra Messing) discovers that Will (Eric McCormack) has certain perks in his apartment, such as a working fireplace, that other tenants, like her, don't have. Realizing that he's been able to acquire these goodies as President of the board of tenants, she decides to run against him in the upcoming election. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) is devastated when his beloved pet bird, Guapo, escapes when Karen (Megan Mullally) accidentally leaves a window open.

Desperate to live up to her "fullfigured" image, Grace buys herself an undergarment that has less than the desired effect. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) discovers that Will (Eric McCormack) slept with one of his old lovers.
