For 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper it isnโt easy growing up in East Texas. While the gifted and somewhat naรฏve Sheldon deals with the world, his family must find a way to deal with him. His father, George, is struggling to find his way as father to a boy he doesnโt understand. Sheldonโs mother, Mary, fiercely protects her son in a town where he just doesnโt fit in. Sheldonโs older brother, Georgie, does the best he can, but itโs tough to be cool when youโre in the same class with your 9-year-old brother. Sheldonโs twin sister, Missy, sometimes resents all the attention Sheldon gets, but sheโs the one person who can reliably tell Sheldon the truth. Finally, thereโs Sheldonโs beloved Meemaw, his salty, hard-drinking Texas grandmother whoโs supportive of her grandson. Big Bang Theory audiences have come to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. This comedy gives us the chance to meet him in childhood, as he embarks on his awkward journey toward the man he will become.
