1 Prepare to be Bewitched

A string of mysterious incidents involving spirits led the Imperial Army to establish the Ministry of Spirit Affairs, where humans and spirits could join forces in an effort to maintain peace and harmony.
2 Crimson Brilliance

After the last incident, Kei realizes his ignorance toward spirits and decides to educate himself. He is absolutely certain that fox spirits eat candles as if they were candy and decides to give one to Zakuro as a reconciliatory gift.
3 Tragic Past

The Ministry of Spirit Affairs receives a request involving women and children who have been spirited away. Zakuro jumps at the chance to work on the case, much to Kei's surprise.
4 Timid Distance

Kei begins to focus more on his training exercises after feeling his strength is inadequate due to Zakuro always protecting him.
5 Sticky Trap

Lieutenant Hanadate pays a visit to the Ministry of Spirit Affairs. Rumors have circulated about a black widow spirit that lures soldiers away from high-class parties and consumes them.
6 Onward Together

Zakuro grasps her pendant and solemnly recalls what Rangui mentioned. However, her mood perks up as soon as she receives a gift from Lieutenant Hanadate.
7 A Feline House

Tae, a servant from Kei's household, visits Spirit Affairs. Everyone is taken aback as she throws herself at Kei, exclaiming, 'I've missed you so...' This immediately puts Zakuro in a sour mood.
8 Fickle Rain

Kei and Susukihotaru are on a delivery to return a cursed katana to Aya's store. But before they get the chance, they are attacked by the same twins who crashed the gala. They capture Kei and Susukihotaru and plan to use them as bait to lure Zakuro out.
9 Joy of Love

The other members of the ministry grow excited and curious about the romantic interests between all the representatives. Hanadate arrives and requests an investigation regarding a strange spirit that appears whenever the game 'kokkuri' is played.
10 Creeping Shadows

The Spirit Affairs representatives attend a festival. Kei grovels in fear when he meets Lords A and Un, the shrine's komainu guardians.
11 Hollow Touch

As Zakuro attempts to escape from the Village of Oracles, she notices that her pendant is glowing. Guided by this light, Zakuro is led to her mother, Tsukuhane, who she believed had long since passed away.
12 Looming Crisis

Zakuro is captured by Omodaka once again. She is forced into a ritualistic outfit while unconscious and made to act against her will. She is on the verge of getting married to Omodaka.
13 Brilliant Finale

Rangui manipulates Daidai into going on a rampage by taking advantage of the envy she feels for Byakuroku's 'favored' treatment. When Daidai fails, Rangui calls her useless and prepares to consume her.

Westernization, a time when humans and spirits coexist—The Modernization of Japan has begun. The Ministry of Spirit Affairs is established to resolve mysterious incidents involving the nation’s spirits. This ministry consists of representatives from both the human and spirit worlds. Zakuro, Susukihotaru, Bonbori, and Hozuki are all half-spirits (a hybrid between human and spirit) who have been partnered with the second lieutenants Kei, Riken, and Ganryu. These half-spirit girls and the male second lieutenants are all assigned to Spirit Affairs in an effort to join forces and carry out any tasks given to them!
