Very, very interesting show, storytelling, and performances. JPTwY originally starts as a way for Joe Pera to teach you the details about whatever he finds interesting (this mostly involves things found in Michigan), but season 2 you get to watch him and his girlfriend learn and grow. The comedy is in his subdued demeanor in contrast against those around him (most of these people being elderly); plus the occasional unexpected things that Joe will say. Super creative and highly recommend.

"That was good." - Matt "This show is the most wonderful thing to come out of 2020. Please continue to make more episodes for us." - Freda "Thanks for talking with me Joe. Hope you're doing well." - Me When my friend showed this to me two years ago I wasn't quite sure how I'd feel just by the description. But, 22 episodes later I am happy to say I wasn't aware that a show this genuine and wholesome like this existed. Thank you for all the laughs and the tears Joe.

Kermit the Frog and Mr. Rogers singing "The Rainbow Connection" in the Land of Make Believe would not lull my anxieties to contented calm the way this show managed to do with a single clip about ham. It's a triumph, not with fanfare and fireworks, but the kind you can only get catching your first fish with a grandpa who doesn't say much other than "you make me very proud". What an absolutely lovely, entirely gorgeous way to spend a rainy day. What a perfect little show.
